Oooooh what's occurring.....

So my little lovelies i do seem to have neglected you somewhat these past few weeks. And for that i appologise. However, i do have good reason for being so utterly rubbish. I am going to become the owner of my very own business. Think Richard Branson with less facial hair. The details are all still very hush hush although i will reveal the rest in good time. I can tell you you that myself and my gorgeous friend Tara are going into partnership for this new venture and that i'm uber excited (private joke.)

So i will keep you updated as often as possible.

Gotta dash i have a business lunch to attend....

She's a cougar, hear her roar...

In my absence my super stylist mother has been roped in to work on the latest Leeds Rhinos shoot. Last year I was the lucky lady that got covered in oil and showered with rude jokes. But by the sounds of it they prefer an older woman.

Pffftttt.

Charmin'

You will be missed....

Sweedie. Darling.

Some little gem just reminded me how much I adore Absolutely Fabulous. It is without a doubt my favourite programme EVER. Australian's cannot appreciate it like I, as i've never heard anybody speak of it. Hence my lack of postage thus far. Now it has been re-implanted into my frontal lobe I shall make an extra special effort to quote the lovely ladies at least once a week....X

Patsy: [seeing Saffron] Oh, my God, there's something horrible on the stairs.
Saffron: It's me.
Patsy: I'm not blind.
Saffron: What are those pills?
Patsy: Don't question me.
Saffron: Mum?
Eddie: Darling, they're just hormones, so I can breast feed the Romanians when they come...

Argh...

My Internet connection is pap. I got as far as my 6th word for cairns and it started to crash. I will have to commence my list tomorrow. I hope you can wait that long.

Ps. I was payed a very nice compliment about my blog from a very nice person today. I think that person may be the only person who actually reads this blog as i've never had even 1 comment...(sob sob, the pity party is at my house tomorrow, msg me for details.)

Anyway I just want to say if you are still reading this, which I hope you are, it means alot...X

Perth Life...

It was always going to happen.I just didn't expect it to come around so soon. Our East Coast travels are over. We spent 2months and well over 10 grand livin' it up 'East Side' stylee....Gone are the days of drinking goon and eating mee-goreng aka smackhead noodles. Never again shall I push Oliver home from the Woolshed in a shopping trolley. Lost are the moments I cried myself to sleep on the 17hr Greyhound journey. I shall miss those days. But what are memories without photographic back-up I hear you cry.

So now i'm going to give you a recap of all the places we visited. But as you already know I like to go around the houses sometimes. So to stop you from tearing your hair out ( no offence to my bald readers) I shall describe each of our destinations in 10 or less words along with my favourite picture from that place. Of Course.

I HEART MELBOURNE

Melbourne has so much to offer. (I sound like a presenter from wish you were here...) But it's true you can lay on the beach or hit the shops, visit the art gallery, lose your money in the casino or mince around the cool little cafes...

Oliver and I did all of the above in a 35degree heat! I think that deserves a medal...

If found some really cool little shops but I just couldn't find anything i really wanted. How Frustrating. With my aussie dollars burning a hole in the pocket of my favourite denim shorts I was forced to stock up on mac. Good old mac, always a reason to spend some money.

Anyway, here are some pics of our adventure...

Wish you were here......

Fringed at the fringe...

Arrived in Sydney on friday just in time for the saturday markets. Picked up a schnazzyy little bolero from the fringe markets. Ironically enough it contains fringing, how appt. Spent the day sashaying through the city shaking my tassles infront of the opera house and other such landmarks. Did a double whammy and wore it to dinner that night. I wonder if i could wear it everyday i'm in Sydney...Fringed bolero down at Bondi anyone?...

S.Y.D.N.E.Y from my bathroom window...

I fucking love this place....

Gotham City

Don't you just love the top of this building. I spotted it walking across a bridge in Brisbane, it looks like something out of Batman and Robin...x

Hello stranger...

Today was a beautiful day. The sun shone all day long. Oliver was in a fabulous mood. Therefore I was in an even better mood. The morning started off well, well I use the term morning loosely as i didn't actually wake up until 11.30. After it took me a ridiculous amount of time to get ready (whilst Oliver you-tubed Judge Judy episodes, my boy is special...) we headed into the city centre. We decided today was the day to buy ourselves a new toy. 20mins and 800dollars later we walked out of Ted's camera house with the new canon powershot G11. It's a cracker. We spent the rest of the day perusing the Brisbane City art gallery getting snap happy at every given opportunity. Oliver said we looked like proper tourists now. It made my day.

Next assignment...

My lovely Aunt Clara took these shots last week in Croatia. It's made me realise that once I get back home to England i'll have to leave again in search of beautiful European cities. We spent so much time saving to come to the other side of the earth that we never visited the beautiful places on our doorstep.

The friends i've made in Australia find it strange the closest i've been to milan is Benidorn 1996.

Tragic.

Old Skool...

Digging through my pics today and i unearthed this little gem. Bikinis, leopard print, calendar, charity...Don't ask...

I do love an oversized fan...x

And the votes are in...

I came 3rd!! The sportsgirl super stylist staff competition results were in last night and i got a well earned bronze. Of course i wanted Gold what a stupid question, but i have to be a good loser and admit defeat. (I know where she lives.) Staff throughout the whole of Australia were allowed to enter, I was the only entry from WA so i've done it for the west side!! The judges were various buyers and creatives from sportsgirl including the CEO, so when u put it like that 3rd place aint really all that shabby. The best part is i've won some vouchers to spend on more clothes. Happy happy happy...

Paradise Found.

My new hat..X

We're now in Airlie Beach and it's a beauty. Unfortunately i left my hat at the backpackers in Cairns and being a ginger ghost an all i'm lost without it. So. First thing was first i had a to go shoppping. Now we all know Philip Treacy doesn't have a boutique in Queensland so i had to make do with the local pharmacy. But what a pharmacy it was. I found a beautiful big summer hat, big enough to cover myself and anyone else who might've been hoping for a tan. It's delicious and it covers half my face so i can go make-up free and look half decent. Ish.....X

\\Chloe I Heart You\\

I swear to God the stylist for that last pic must've been takin inspiration from my mum back in the 80's. Dead ringer. I wish, then I'd get the hand-me-downs......swoon.....x

//Cont...//

Continuing with the coat hanger theme how adorable is this clothes stand? Propped up against a beautifully disheveled brick wall? I Cannot wait to furnish my first real house...X

//I'm gonna do it//

Should I really get a bloody coathanger tattooed on my body??

YEP!!!!

When in Cairns...

We're in Cairns town now. I am possibly the most ginger/pale person here. Life here is far too casual for all my nice clothes, so I don't even have that going for me. People will be looking at my gorgeous Oliver and thinking WTF is he doing with that dowdy girl. Nevertheless I am having lots of fun. I've already tracked down the local vintage shop and purchased some goodies (souvenirs as I tell beautiful Oliver.) Also bought coin purse made from kangeroo scrotum for lovely sister-I know she will love it. So now i need to decide whether to apply fake tan or continue with pale and interesting crusade?

If anyone anywhere is reading this, Please advise...X

Today tonight...

Today was a good day. I did some styling in Fremantle. Twas having a jolly good time then I decided to lock my car keys...in the car. I'm such a slack arse sometimes. Luckily the local car thief was on hand to break into my little excel and let me continue with the shoot. Good job we have criminals on the street I say. I just wanted to say a big thank you to my model Jess who gracefully bared the cold in nothing but a sequin bolero whilst I had my nervous breakdown. Jess Your a gem! And your god damn sexy too...

Will post the finished pics this week...X
